About This Site
The Strategic Innovation Promotion Program (SIP) is a national project established by the Cabinet Office to realize science and technology innovation. It tackles social issues that are important to the public and world-leading issues that can contribute to the revitalization of the Japanese economy. Starting in FY2023, 14 issues have been set for the third period, and research and development is being promoted in a seamless manner from basic research to social implementation.
This site is a portal site for sub-issue C "Strategic utilization of human resources of local governments, etc." of the issue "Establishment of a smart infrastructure management system," one of the 14 issues.
The issue "Establishment of a smart infrastructure management system" aims to realize Society 5.0 by working on technology development and research that contributes to the construction of "future cities," "future infrastructure," and "future construction technology." As infrastructure and buildings age, the mission is to build a system that uses digital data to manage everything from design to construction, inspection, and repair, and promote the creation of sustainable and attractive land, cities, and regions.
Sub-theme C, "Strategic utilization of human resources of local governments and other organizations," aims to resolve labor shortages and improve the quality of labor by promoting the entry, recurrent, and reskilling of people with diverse skills through a nationwide common platform for human resource development and education. As two teams are working in Sub-theme C, this team is taking on the challenge of developing people and creating ystems that will enable the safe operation of roads in municipalities in Niigata, Toyama, Ishikawa, and Fukui prefectures. That is, under the collaboration between municilalities and academia in the Hokuriku region, technologies will be developed to clarify road condition and utilization, as well as guidelines for combining and using these technologies. Furthermore, human resources will be developed that can utilize these technologies to lead strategic maintenance management.
This website will provide and disseminate content (articles and videos) about efforts under this team.
